When you serve cupcakes in your party, especially kids party, do you notice a lot of times your guests couldn't finish the whole cupcake? I've been thinking if there is a way to decorate half a cupcake, and this is what I came up with.... cupcake umbrella!
Here is how to turn 1 cupcake into 2 umbrellas:
- Bake cupcakes in cupcake liners in muffin tin.
- Cut each cupcakes in half from top to bottom (DO NOT REMOVE THE LINERS from the cupcakes! Otherwise the straws may poke through the cakes)
- Apply frosting
- Insert straws
These cupcakes would be fun to served at any kids party, baby shower, bridal shower!
Don't forget to check out the apple umbrella and cheese umbrella on this blog.

Chocolate Dipped Sugar Cubes For Coffee
Do you drink same kind of coffee every single day? Want to try something different? How about add a little hint of chocolate in your coffee?
Here is how:
- Microwave 1/3 cup of chocolate chips at half power for 45 seconds.
- Stir
- Microwave for another 35 seconds
- Stir until smooth
- Dip frozen sugar cubes in melted chocolate
If you don't freeze the sugar cubes before dipping them in chocolate, these are what you may get! See the bumpy surface?
Give them a few hours to set.
I added heart shaped cookie sprinkles on some of those sugar cubes.
Won't it be nice to have your morning coffee on Valentine's Day with these decorated sugar cubes!
