Sandwich Sub

Pin It Now!

On my last two posts, I used straws to create umbrellas. Today, I used straws to create a submarine sandwich. A blue bendable straw was used to decorate this sub; bubble tea straw was used to cut the windows! If you can't find any bubble tea straw, you can use the straw from McDonalds. Just add more windows on you sub.

I placed some fish crackers on the plate to make this afternoon snack for my son a bit more fun. If I had green fruit leather at home, I would use it to make some seaweed!

Healthy Snack Idea: Apple Umbrella

Pin It Now!
How did you like the Babybel umbrella I showed you on my last post? Here is another umbrella idea for you. This one was made from apple! If you want to give it a try, please check this post for apple carving tips.

Here is another one I made last year. A perfect snack for the rainy day!

Btw, the umbrella pick you see on the second picture was from J- List. It's a set of 5 different kind of food picks, and it only cost $2.80. I really love that balloon pick! I use it for cherry tomato or grape.

Easiest Party Food: Babybel Umbrellas

Pin It Now!
Yipee ~~~ cutefoodforkids.com was mentioned on one of the biggest parenting magazine in the States: Parents. Although it'a on a little tiny corner, I was still very excited!

These were the Babybel umbrellas I made for them, but they didn't use these. I guessed the editor liked the ladybug idea more.

To make these interesting finger food for your party or shower, all you need are Babybal cheeses and straws.

Isn't it the easiest party appetizer idea?  It's also a fun and healthy item to pack into your kid's lunch box!

Sandwich Owl

Pin It Now!

Here.... a peanut butter sandwich!
It could be any kind of sandwich you like. However, it's easier to keep the wings in place when you use peanut butter.
To make this sandwich owl, you need 2 slices of bread and a little slice of cheese.

- Cut the bread with a egg shape cookie cutter. Don't throw away the crust yet!
- Use the same cookie cutter to cut the top part off. Keep one of the cut off part to make the wings.
- Use straws and scissors to cut all the little parts you need.
- Finally, put the owl sandwich together.
Isn't it one of the cutest sandwiches you have ever seen? Pretty easy to make too! Please give it a try ^,^
